About The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi

The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi is one of the largest aquariums in the Middle East, covering more than 9,000 square metres across 10 themed zones. The journey takes visitors from the tropical waters of the Pacific and freshwaters of the Amazon to the frozen Arctic and caves of the Mediterranean.

The aquarium is home to 46,000 marine and terrestrial animals, including more than 200 sharks and rays representing 25 different species. A team of sea-life experts cares for the animals and supports their daily nutrition, medical care, and enrichment.

The experience also highlights UAE wildlife and conservation through the Wildlife Rescue programme, which focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing native wildlife in the Abu Dhabi Emirate.

  • Glass bottles, folding chairs, laser pens or lights, and other items considered a safety hazard are not permitted.
